As part of a participatory development process, a new village center was created in the heart of Niederndorf, comprising a municipal building, a mixed-use commercial and residential structure, and a clearly defined village square that spatially and functionally enhances the town center. Two staggered gable-roofed buildings relate in scale and typology to the existing context and express their distinct functions through their façades.
