projects with public sector entities and private partners
From a study commissioned by the City of Innsbruck which was to be the basis for future high-rise development, to the biennially awarded “Tyrolean State Prize for New Building,” to the “Tyrol Housing Construction Symposium” – projects were and are implemented by aut on behalf of or in cooperation with public entities and private partners.

Since 1996, the Tyrolean State Government, together with the Chamber of Architects and Chartered Engineering Consultants for Tyrol and Vorarlberg, Architects’ Division, the Central Association of Austrian Architects, Tyrolean State Association, and aut, has distinguished exemplary buildings in Tyrol every two years. All of the submitted structures are presented at an exhibition in aut and the awarded projects documented in a brochure.

wohnbau m. u. b. h. (housing construction with unlimited liability)
Together with the Tyrolean public housing developers, an exhibition, a publication and a symposium on the balance and perspectives of housing construction were conceived and carried out in 1997.

btv property developers’ prize for tyrol
Since 1999, aut has been a cooperation partner of the “BTV Property Developers’ Prize for Tyrol,” a competition that aut co-established and developed. aut takes over jury supervision and works together in the coordination as well as in the text and image editing of the brochure.
high-rise study innsbruck
On behalf of the City of Innsbruck, a study was developed in interdisciplinary workshops in 2001–02 where international experts investigated which potential the high-rise can and should offer in the sense of urban-structural quality and in a socio-political respect.

maria-theresien-straße
aut was invited in 2005 by Hilde Zach, the mayor at that time, to develop preparatory work for a workshop-like competition procedure for the redesign of Maria-Theresien-Strasse.
brick demonstration building in tyrol
In 2004–05, aut was entrusted by the Association of Austrian Brickworks (VÖZ) with the conception and organization of a competition for a “brick demonstration building” in Tyrol.
innsbruck. stadtgeschichten (innsbruck. city stories)
On behalf of the Urban Planning Department of the City of Innsbruck, a publication was conceived by aut, together with Otto Kapfinger and Nikolaus Schletterer, which provided an insight into the architectonic and cultural development of the city.

tyrolean housing construction symposium
With the goal of providing an impulse for subsidized housing construction and its framework conditions, a symposium initiated by Hannes Gschwentner, the Tyrolean State Housing Construction Councilor back then, took place four times between 2009 and 2012 in conjunction with aut.
A concrete follow-up project was the 2012 competition “Village Center Fließ,” where a participatory procedure was able to be successfully tested for the first time in Tyrol. The constructed result was opened in 2014.

Central Association of Austrian Architects Clients’ Prize (ZV-bauherrenpreis)
Since 1967, the Central Association of Austrian Architects has regularly awarded a “Clients’ Prize.” The prize competition is carried out each year by a different Austrian state. In 2005 and 2012 this was Tyrol, and the accompanying exhibition was shown in the Adambräu building by the Central Association of Austrian Architects – Tyrolean State Association in cooperation with aut.
tyrolean wood construction award
In 2001 and 2003, the Architekturforum Tirol was the cooperation partner of proHolz Tirol for the Tyrolean wood construction award, collaborated in the conception of the award, provided organizational assistance, and also took over the image and text editing of the brochure. In addition, several lectures took place in cooperation with proHolz Tirol.

aut is not only a location for established architects. Besides exhibitions of single works or projects by students, the show Pontenziale 2, held in cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture in 2013 once again after 1995 and 2003, offered the up-and-coming generations of architects the possibility to draw attention to their creative potential.
