Im Innsbrucker Walther-Park entstand im Rahmen der "Architekturtage 2008" eine 52 m lange, begehbare und vielfältig nutzbare Plattform.
„... ich will an den inn“ and „stattSTUBE“
two structures built on behalf of aut
Since 2002, the Architekturtage have been taking place every two years all over Austria. Unique in Europa in this form, they appeal to the general public and offer a low-threshold access to architecture.
In order to also make architecture experiential on a 1:1 scale besides tours and other events, aut commissioned the building of a temporary structure in public space for the first time in 2008. Realized by columbostext in Innsbruck’s Waltherpark, the platform „... ich will an den Inn“ was available to local residents as a freely accessible infrastructure for two years.
Dismantled in 2010, the platform was transformed by University of Innsbruck students into experimental small architectures. Two years later the Tortenwerkstatt – in keeping with the Architekturtage 2012 theme „anders als geWohnt“ (“A Different Way of Living”) – set up a „stattSTUBE,“ an extended living concept that could be “lived in” for a whole summer long.
