aut freut sich mit WEI SRAUM über die offizielle Eröffnung des WEI SRAUMforum in der Andreas-Hofer-Straße 27 in Innsbruck.

a new center for the (graphic)design and creative scene in Innsbruck
Since relocating to the Adambräu building in 2005, aut has regularly devoted itself to the topics of contemporary graphic arts and typography in the scope of the lecture series [typo]graphic. In a loose sequence, issues related to typography and the contemporary graphic design it is focused upon are addressed and typography, as a crucial tool of visual understanding in the cultural fabric, is made visible.
As a result of this event series, an independent association named WEI SRAUM – Forum für visuelle Gestaltung Innsbruck (WEI SRAUM – Forum for Visual Design Innsbruck) arose in 2006. It continues to cooperate closely with aut, most recently in 2014 in the course of the first WEI SRAUM exhibition Ikonen und Eintagsfliegen (Icons and Mayflies) at aut.
Together with WEI SRAUM we are happy that a new center for the (graphic)design and creative scene in Innsbruck has now come into being with the WEI SRAUMforum located at Andreas-Hofer-Strasse 27 – featuring lectures, discussions, presentations, courses and workshops, discussion events, a laboratory, library and mediatheque, startup offices and temporary co-working spaces.

ausstellung
Mit „Ikonen und Eintagsfliegen. Arthur Zelger und das Grafikdesign in Tirol“ zeigt WEI SRAUM im aut erstmals eine Schau zum Tiroler Grafikdesign von 1950 bis heute.
Seit der Übersiedelung ins Adambräu 2005 widmete sich das aut im Rahmen der Vortragsreihe [typo]graphic regelmäßig dem Thema der zeitgenössischen Grafik und Typographie.
