Dortmunder Hütte

Architecture: Armin Neurauter (2019-2021) Builder-owner: Sektion Dortmund des Deutschen Alpenvereins (DAV) e.V. Accessibility: Publicly accessible by bus from Innsbruck (line 4166). TIP: There are special family rooms in the attic.

Located on the edge of the village of Kühtai, the Dortmunder Hütte was built in 1932 and carefully renovated and expanded in 2017. The aim was to preserve its simple alpine character while meeting today's requirements for comfort and functionality. The tall, slender building was extended to the rear and restructured, with a terrace opening up the view to the south-sloping terrain.

3-Seenhaus

The "3-Seenhaus", which belongs to the "Jagdschloss Resort Kühtai", is located directly at one of the cable car stations in the winter sports resort of Kühtai, which lies at 2,000 m above sea level. As a contemporary addition to the historical ensemble, a timber frame construction was erected in a reduced formal language, consisting of two underground connected buildings with hotel rooms and studios or spacious holiday flats.
