Village Hall Forchach

Forchach 41, 6670 Forchach, A
Architecture: Todorka Iliova, Architekturhalle Wulz-König (2021-2023) Builder-owner: Gemeinde Forchach Open to the public: partially TIP: Forchach is located in the heart of the Tyrolean Lech Nature Park, one of the last wild river landscapes in the northern Alps.

The small community of Forchach gained a new central meeting point, specifically tailored to the needs of its residents. The clear, single-storey gable-roofed structure with a larch wood facade accommodates a multifunctional village hall and a public eatery designed as a traditional "Dorfstube” (village parlor). The redesigned, paved village square extends across the traffic areas and creates a cohesive ensemble, connecting the church, elementary school, municipal office, and village hall.

Römerstraße 18a, 6230 Brixlegg, A
Architecture: Architekturhalle Wulz-König, Todorka Iliova (2019-2020) Builder-owner: Gemeinde Brixlegg

The primary school of Brixlegg was built in the mid-1960s by the Brixlegg architect Josef Gschösser according to the concept of an atrium school. The school was upgraded functionally and spatially through targeted interventions with careful handling of the existing building substance. As part of one of the measures, the main entrance was relocated to the east and redesigned as a sheltered entrance area.

Village center Reith bei Seefeld

Römerstraße 16, 6100 Reith bei Seefeld, A
Architecture: Architekturhalle Wulz-König, Todorka Iliova (2018-2019) Builder-owner: Gemeinde Reith bei Seefeld Open to the public: partially TIP: The historic vaulted room on the ground floor serves as a venue for cultural events and exhibitions.

With the renovation of the "Mauracher-Haus,” a new village center was created in the heart of Reith bei Seefeld. Due to the building’s structural condition, only the ground floor of the substantial farmhouse could be preserved, while the upper floors were reconstructed in their original form. A single-storey extension and a shared forecourt with an inviting atmosphere link the municipal office, service providers, and café into a vibrant community hub.

Village Center, Patsch

Dorfstraße 22, 6082 Patsch, A
Architecture: Todorka Iliova, Raimund Wulz (2015-2018) Builder-owner: Gemeinde Patsch In 2020, the village center received an Honorable Mention of the State of Tyrol for New Building.

The redesign of the village center in Patsch arose out of a community development process with an associated architecture competition. On the northern edge of the property, a building for the community office, based in terms of its dimensions and materiality on the existing development, and a music pavilion on the southern edge, were erected. Together with the former parish hall, which has been transformed into a clubhouse, and the new village square, the residents gained a lively meeting place.
